Cats - Chats - Miau

I can't understand how I don't have anything to show, even though I've been busy stitching :) But I posted two gifts today, so later this week I can show some small finishes!

Instead couple of cat photos. The one above is something I've forgot to show earlier. I crocheted this amineko to my brother's wife for her birthday earlier this year. I don't crochet much as I enjoy stitching so much more, but this was fun and the recipient likes it :) The instructions can be found in a Japanese site, also in English.

Manteli really frightened the life out of me (and the rest of the family) today. She has been indoors only and if she ever goes outdoors in the future, she will be kept on a leash or we'll build a big cage for her where she can play. But so far she's been an indoor cat, except... We were going to have lunch when my son came to the kitchen screaming that Manteli is outside! At first I didn't believe him at all, I thought he was joking, as he loves to joke all the time :) But he kept insisting and so I ran to take a look.

We have narrow ventilation windows next to normal windows and we usually keep them open in the summer. There are strong mosquito nettings in the windows to keep mosquitos out, so Manteli can go sitting in the window opening. Today she had managed to tear the mosquito netting and push her way under it! When I went to take a look, she was sitting outside on the windowsill! I ran out and she looked so scared, I think she was (fortunately) too scared to jump to the grass. I even think she was happy when I went and "saved" her :) At least I was happy, I was scared to death that she would jump before I reached her.

Je ne comprends pas comment je n'ai rien à vous montrer, mais pourtant j'ai brodé beaucoup :) J'ai envoyé deux cadeaux aujourd'hui, donc plus tard cette semaine j'ai quelque chose à montrer.

J'ai fait du crochet plus tôt cet année. Le chat etait un cadeau d'anniversaire pour l'épouse du mon frère. Je n'aime pas trop faire du crochet, comme je préfere broder, mais la destinataire est contente donc je suis contente aussi :) Il existe des instructions en anglais sur un site japonais.

J'ai raconté une histoire en anglais au-dessus, mais c'est trop longue pour mon francais, je suis désolée :) Mais c'est Manteli qui a failli s'enfuir aujourd'hui et j'ai eu tellement peur! Mais heureusement elle n'est que sorti jusqu'a l'accoudoir...

Ei mitään ristipistonäytettävää tällä kertaa, vaikka olen ahkerasti pistellyt kaikenlaista! Pari lahjaa sentään lähti tänään postiin, että myöhemmin tällä viikolla on jotain valmistunutta näytettävänä :)

Niinpä pari kissakuvaa sen sijaan. Yläkuvassa amineko, jonka tein veljen vaimolle synttärilahjaksi aikaisemmin tänä vuonna. En nykyään kovinkaan virkkaa, koska ristipistojen tekeminen on paljon mukavampaa. Mutta lahjan saaja tykkäsi lahjastaan ja oli ihan mukava virkata pitkästä aikaa. Alakuvassa Manteli, joka säikäytti meidät tänään pahanpäiväisesti. Mantelihan on ihan sisäkissa ja tulee pysymäänkin sellaisena, jos ei sitten valjaissa ulkoiluteta tai rakenneta joskus aitausta ulkoilua varten. Toistaiseksi siis ei ole käynyt ulkona kuin autoilemassa kuljetuskopassa.

Tänään sitten poika tuli kiljuen keittiöön ja sanoi että Manteli on pihalla! En meinannut ensin edes uskoa, koska pojasta on hauska juksailla kaiken aikaa :) Mutta siellähän kissa istui ikkunalaudalla, ulkopuolella ikkunan siis. Oli kaivanut (tai repinyt?) tiensä tuuletusikkunan hyttysverkon alta ulos. Onneksi Manteli oli niin säikähdyksissään itsekin, että ei hypännyt nurmikolle vaan näytti suorastaan onnelliselta kun kävin pelastamassa sen turvaan sisälle :)
