The end of May is over, pheew and we survived :) There's always so much to do and I haven't had much extra energy. I've been mostly reading when I've had spare time, but now I think I'm starting to gather my normal strenght again after the hectic spring. Children have started their summer holidays and they've been enjoying the first days. My calendar is pretty empty too and that gives me inspiration! I've even been sewing with the sewing machine...

I'll soon have more stitching to show, but let's start with this. It's a heart I stitched for a quilt. As I've written here earlier, our neighbour Anne got married. Anne is a member of our local stitching group, so we wanted to stitch a gift for her and her husband. Below you'll see the heartfelt quilt Marja sewed and quilted (Marja also took the photo). Isn't it a beauty! It was wonderful to surprise another dear friend and surprised Anne undoubtedly was when we gave her the quilt :D

It's another sunny day here today, we've had just wonderful weather lately! I wish your day is full of sunshine too :)

Huhhuijaa, toukokuu meni ja hengissä selvittiin jälleen kerran :) Loppukevät vie aina virtaa, niinpä olen keskittynyt lähinnä lukemaan vapaa-ajalla. Nyt tuntuu taas energiaa ilmaantuneen, lapset ovat aloittaneet kesäloman ja nauttivat ensimmäisistä lomapäivistä. Omakin kalenteri on melko tyhjä ja se saa aikaan inspiraatiota tehdä monenmoista! Olen jopa ommellut ompelukoneella...

Muutakin näytettävää on, mutta aloitetaan tästä. Kirjoittelin aikaisemmin, että naapurin Anne meni naimisiin. Anne on oupsilainen, niinpä me päätimme tehdä Annelle ja miehellensä lahjan. Pistelin tuon sydämen ja Marja taitavasti kasasi paloista sydämellisen peiton! Marja on myös ottanut alapuolella olevan kuvan koko peitosta. Oli ihana päästä ihanaa Annea yllättämään ja yllättynyt Anne olikin kun peitto annettiin :)

Meillä paistaa edelleen aurinko! Tällaisena kesäpäivänä on kiva miettiä vaikkapa syksyvaihtoa... :)
