Angel of Spring

L&L Angel of Spring has been my WIP (or UFO) for couple of years maybe? I like the design a lot, but I've always had something else (more important) to stitch. Now I'll stitch it every other Saturday, so hopefully it will be finished one day. The colours are beautiful and I enjoy stitching this. It's so different than my other projects.

Years ago, I've been "adopted" by a stitcher, in an Adopt-a-Stitcher program in CCS Yahoo group. The stitcher who adopted me, Cathie in the USA, is the most wonderful adopter imaginable. She has recommended to me new designs and designers, I have learnt and continue learning so much from her. Thank you so much Cathie for everything, if you read this! This was the first design she chose for me and sent the materials for it. So this angel has a special place in my heart and I always think of Cathie when I stitch this. I already have a perfect place on the wall for this one, now I only need to stitch!

Talvikuvasta Virpille, tuo kuva on otettu siis kun tästä tietokoneelta pääni nostan, työhuoneesta. Olohuoneessa yleensä pistelen, tosin sielläkin puolella taloa on puita jonkun verran :)

Angel of Spring on ollut kesken jo pari vuotta varmaan, mutta nyt teen sitä joka toinen lauantai, siis toiveissa valmistuakin joskus. Tätä on mukava pistellä, se on niin eri tyylinen kuin muut työt joita teen. Cathie lähetti tämän minulle vuosia sitten USAsta, kun liityin Adopt-a-Stitcher -ohjelmaan Yahoon CCS-listalla. Cathie on "ristipistokummitätini" ja aivan ihana sellainen. Niinpä tällä enkelillä on erityinen paikka sydämessä ja Cathie on monesti mielessä kun tätä pistelen. Paikkakin on seinällä odottamassa, kun saan valmiiksi.
