Thank you + Friday's blog - Kivaa postia, perjantaiblogi ja hyvää itsenäisyyspäivää!

Look at this gorgeous surprise I received this week! Andrea stitched this beautiful ornament for me as a RAK and I was overwhelmed by joy when I received her package! I had a blank moment staring at her address in the envelope as I was trying to figure out if I'm waiting for an exchange to arrive :)

Andrea's stitching and finishing are perfect, the words and letters are stitched over one and she has added lovely beads when finishing the pillow. I love these Blue Ribbon Designs ornaments, but I haven't stitched one yet. Andrea's timing was perfect too and the package really came to brighten up my day in a perfect moment. I must say I LOVE surprises like this :) Thank you once again from the bottom of my heart, dear Andrea, you know how much I love this and I'll treasure it always.

Below the blog anniversary gift from Yuko. I won the beautiful kit with Kreinik silk threads and she also sent me lovely thread/ribbon cards. Thanks so much Yuko, it was great to win something this beautiful!! This weekend please visit Andrea's and Yuko's blogs, they are the blogs of the week :) They are both filled with gorgeous stitching and wonderful photos.

I will continue publishing Friday's blogs, but I'll give myself a bit more time and I promise to write during the weekends, either on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Fridays are sometimes so busy and I'm tired in the evening when I finally have time to blog and I don't want to stress about this :)

Today is Finland's 91st Independence Day :) For me this day is often filled with Scouts activites, as this is the day when Scouts in Finland traditionally make their Scout Promise. So lots of organizing beforehand and in the late afternoon we walk with candles through the village as a parade and then the ceremony takes place in church. Early in the morning some of us also went to light the candles to the graves of those who died when fighting for the independence, these graveyards are usually situated near the church and look beautiful with all candles when it's still dark!

Have a happy weekend and hopefully lots of stitching time! You'll find my (and Violarium's) Independence Day wishes at Violarium's blog :)

Alakuvassa Yukolta saamani blogikisapalkinto.

This is a really beautiful ornament Andrea stitched for you. I also love Blue Ribbon Designs ornaments and have some of them in my stash.

Congratulations on winning Yuko's give-away. It's such a wonderful kit! I'd really like to find and buy it somewhere.

Kivoja lahjoja olet saanut.
