Pinkeep for Virpi

As you may have noticed recently, I've fallen in love with pinkeeps :) This is my last PIF gift and Virpi received it today and likes is :) Virpi is such a lovely person (and a speedy stitcher even though she has small children)! I've met her once and I wish she'd live closer :) I knew she likes animals, so I chose this squirrel design from De fil en aiguille special issue Summer.

I'm so happy that we have couple of nice shops in Oulu where I can find some finishing materials. That's not obvious in Finland, as we don't have needlework stores. The tradition in Finland is knitting and we have shops selling lovely knitting yarn everywhere, but almost no needlework stores at all, except in the Internet :) So I'm happy that we have a shop in Oulu that sells mainly sewing machines but also ribbons and cords. We also have an Internet shop selling fabrics for quilting and it's located in Oulu, so it's possible to pick up the fabrics there and see all the colours in real life. The backing fabric and ribbons also for this pinkeep were bought in these shops.

Cute pinkeep! The backing fabric is perfect.
I wish there were more needlework shops here where i live. Although its probably best for the bank balance that there isn't!!

Soooooo lovely!!! I love your pinkeeps!!!
Italy is like Finland: we do not have many places to go for a crazy cross stitch shopping :D !!!

Kaunis pinkeep!

Do you remember the specific issue number of the magazine?

I would love to try and find this on ebay to get the pattern.

Thanks very much, and your projects are beautiful! :)
