Scissor fob exchange - Saksikoristevaihto Mustikalle

Mustikka has received the scissor fob I stitched for her in the exchange I organized. I wanted to try something new and stitched this. I didn't have a model, so it took some time to count the stitches and find matching, symmetrical designs :) The motifs are published in a French book Repertoires des frises et bordures and the thread is Pomme de Pin Le Feu de Bridget.

Marie asked in the comments earlier how did I add a small photo inside a big one. I've forgot to answer that, I'm sorry! It entered into my mind again when editing the photo above. I use GIMP for photo editing and I like it. GIMP is free software and full of features (I haven't had time to learn even half of them yet...). It takes some time to learn the basic tools, but when you learn them, it's easy to use. There are lots of tutorials in the Internet for using GIMP, so they might help in getting started.

Today is Viola's day in Finland, Viola was my grandmother's name :) To celebrate, there's free shipping on all orders at Violarium today, whatever you order, anywhere in the world! You'll find more information about this offer at Violarium.

Happy Day :)

Mustikalle meni perille saksikoristevaihdon saksikoriste.

Tänään on Violan päivä, mummini nimi oli Viola :) Sen kunniaksi Violariumista postitetaan tämän päivän aikana tehdyt tilaukset ilman toimituskuluja, lisätietoa löytyy kaupan sivulta.

Ihanaa tätä päivää :)
